This may sound like a strange question and I'll explain shortly.

I don't know Burien. I've only driven through it.

I googled and there is a "Salmon Creek Ravine Park."

Are there ravines *and* rivers in Burien?

If there are ravines are they steep? High?

Are they above a river or rivers?

Are there any apartment close to these ravines?

I'll explain soon.

Please help if you have any information.

Thanks in advance.

Miller Creek is just south of Burien, near Normandy Park. Here’s the link. https://kingcounty.gov/services/envi...ur-miller.aspx

Generally there are bluffs along the shores of Puget Sound, with towns like Burien on a hilly plateau a few hundred feet in elevation. Creeks flowing into Puget Sound have carved ravines that drop in elevation slowly down to sea level. These ravines have somewhat steep forested sides, getting deeper closer to the Sound. However, there are no spectacular rock cliffs or waterfalls. The ravines are protected forest land, some are state or county parks, such as Saltwater State Park. That is why, for example in Burien, there is no continuous north-south road west of Ambaum - the ravines are too steep close to the Sound.

I know this is an odd thread, Diana.

I and others were informed from family of someone I've known for decades that this person died from "falling down a ravine behind this person's apartment in Burien and drowning in a river."

Because this seems strange I was hoping to get any info of or if any ravines, rivers, or bodies of water are in Burien, specifically behind or near apartments.

Nothing comes up on google or new sites of any kind about this person.

It happened about 4 weeks ago.

I appreciate the responses so far.
