has anyone heard about like colbert/stewart indecision2008 virtual podium contest thingy? i saw some flyers randomly on my campus on monday and was wondering if it's legit -- the website is, but is anyone else entering?

not that i want competition or anything but there's like 20 entries and like 10 flyaway trips to NY.. the chances are pretty damn good (big apple, here i come!)

OK so here's my question: WHERE can i film in seattle / or the surrounding area without getting in trouble? i want to film in front of famous landmarks, etc so i'm sort of unsure of how to go about doing this. any ideas?

basically the contest is asking me to state my political platform in a short video-- it can be funny or whatever:

IDEA 1. the US military should no longer use guns and bombs. instead, we should resort to the eastern approach and train our soldiers to be NINJAS. id be throwing around ninja stars. YEAH!

IDEA 2. something about public transportation and vegetable oil and the environment, but i'd make it sarcastic and really funny. i'm still working on this idea

IDEA 3. the right to bare arms-- id just use a sock puppet and roll it up while i was talking. peep show! jk.

okay, so LET ME KNOW what you think would be cool. friends have been saying number 1 but i want more opinions.

You might want to check like a dictionary to determine if you want to like make a vid about the idea to "bare" arms or bear arms. Different planning -- different scripts; different props...

Bears are the #1 threat to America. So be careful.

Especially since the constitution guarantees the right to arm bears.
