Texas isn't allowing any more Seattlites in. Sorry, sun worshipers, you'll have to move to Arizona instead:

LOL!!!

I like how they closed off Austin too. Anyone from Texas will tell you it is the least-Texas part of Texas.

Yeah, I liked that too; being from Austin (AKA the little blue island in a great red sea) I was thinking...another Berlin Wall, oh dear...will there be airlifts?

Actually, in some ways Austin is almost quintessentially Texan...call it Texas' alter-ego...

Do you think they will let me back in since both of my kids were born there? There is a poem hanging in their room entitled "Blessed is the child that is Texas born". Makes me weep to read it! LOL. That article is so funny and sadly enough probably echoes the sentiments of many of my beloved Texas friends and family!!

HAHA!!

Loved that article!! I am actually a big fan of sarcasm that pokes fun at the stupidity in life....as in many people's paranoia regarding immigrants. That article hit the nail on the head.

What makes it more funny is first: many of those paranoid, xenophobic types are in Texas. Second: Many Texans will claim they are more American than the rest of America then turn around and proudly tell you about how great Texas is and how it is pretty much its own nation.

Thanks for that article Yet another daily reminder of why I am so glad I finally "escaped" that state.
