Keep listening to the media drumbeat that we need to attack Iran and send more troops to Afghanistan, and watch everything get far worse at home as the deficit rises and we get boxed into the greatest depression ever. But that's ok right? I mean, Afghanistan needs to be free of evildoers and Iran is, um, a threat... ?

It's almost like the people calling the shots have complete certainty that Americans are so incredibly stupid, we won't even notice that we're being played as fools.

The local economy is terrible many can not even find a part time job in retail.

I've never heard any legitimate media source suggest that we need to attack Iran. Our national debt will continue to rise regardless of what we do over-seas. The reasons are numerous and include an utter lack of fiscal responsibility within our government, an equally heinous lack of fortuitous trade agreements, and an utterly flawed tax system that promotes the mass outsourcing of the American job.

Addendum: If any fiscally responsible members of government do step forward they would quickly get replaced by the next guy who tells us what we want to hear. We have no one to blame for the state of our country but ourselves, as we're the ones enabling it.

I have no place to talk, I voted for Obama who has less fiscal responsibility than "lets invade random countries" Bush.
