Combo guns are always a decent survivalist/prepper weapon for hunting. The Baikal guns seem to be well made, but have not shot or owned one (yet).
I think they are out of print, but Savage rifle over shotgun under combos are out there in great numbers. I have a .22LR over 20 gauge 3". Got my eye on an older one, .22LR over .410 (mostly as a curio, it won't do anything the one I already have can't do) (Don't tell the wife that though!) The Savage was also available with a .223 or 30-30 over a 12 gauge, and maybe a 20 as well.
Murry Custom Leather made me a great little butt-cuff, holds 10 .22 rounds and 5 shotshells. With suitably chosen ammo, you can have everything from a CB cap up to a 20 gauge slug on tap. Mice to Moose, although for the moose end of it you had better hunt really well and shoot really well, 20 gauge slug is way on the light side. But any small game and on up to deer, yeah, it will do that.
