It should be about people who are preparing for the destruction of society and how to prevent other people from taking over your stuff.... like our friends here with the excellent Everglades and Keys compounds and alligator moats and stuff

The guys who store up MREs for food, and have quads to get around, arms and routes for escape all planned out and stuff.

I found a message board full of them and it was some interesting reading!

Yep, those people who will not be in line at the Red Cross for their toilet paper and Top Ramen after a major event, living in a government installation and breathing their air recirculated by 500 others in the same big tent. No thanks. MREs!

I learned alot from that board. I would have never thought of the quad. They had all kinds of interesting traveling stuff in case they had to abandon. Bartering systems among themselves too. It was cool.

I fully intend to marry a guy like that if I can find one that doesn't scare me

There is nothing to lose by being prepared. In Florida everyone should be doing this just for the risk of natural disasters. You may also be able to help others who would otherwise be lost.
