The only way to avoid those charges, is to go the stadium or arena yourself and for most Americans, that's a big time hassle.
Even if you buy the ticket in your town, at a ticketmaster outlet, you still have to pay those.....
nothing wrong with providing service at a FAIR price.
If the price isn't fair by your standards then don;t use it.Its part of the cost of going as many venues save money and make more profits by having ticketmaster handle these type sales.

Sound like a classic GOP talking point, ultra pro capitalist....
Ok, let's not use ticketmaster, then (save for those who can't get to the venue to but it directly there) let's not go to the concerts, therefore due to the slide in ticket sales, arenas and stadiums and bands/teams won't make as much and will have to lay off staff....sounds like a plan.
It's not the price of the event that most people have an issue with, it's these riduculous fees, that are on top of the price of buying the ticket, marking it up needlessly.

I guess you thnik taht governamnt should handle it at taxpayer expense. The cost of handling a 50 dollar ticket sale is the same as handling a 12 dollar ticket. What don't you understand about cost.Do you really thnik that the same work should be cheaper for the same service no matter if the cost is the same?Typical democrat thiking and wanting things cheaper then bitchig about people not being paid enough. You have no right to go from being born ;it takes moeny and your uncle sam is not going to pay for it.$4.00 is less than the cost of pop corn and a coke at the movies.Beer at a game isn't as cheap as at your 7-11 and certainly not as cheap as by the six pack at you local store by bottle. All terrible people wantig to make a profit and pay their employees.

That's would be a valid point, if....
ticketmaster didn't pay most of their employees minumum wage (maybe some commission on top if they act like used car salesmen)......
and if their CEO made a reasonable salary....
