I have mixed feelings about gift certificates.

I like that it saves me time vs. having to search high and low for that "perfect" gift which may not be appreciated as much as you expected it to be.

I like that you can choose the amount that fits your budget.

I like the fact I can include them with a card and save on wrapping paper.

What do I dislike about them?

I dislike the fact they are non refundable. So if I buy it on an impulse, I'm stuck.

As a gift certificate recipient, I dislike the fact the buyer spent very little time and imagination to get me a gift I'd really like. I feel stiffed getting one.
