I have a large set of china made in China from the 1980s. The gold rimmed decor has started to wear off. Are these dishes dangerous to my health? Should I throw them away now?
If it is real gold, there is no problem with injesting it. However, the OP may want to get a home lead testing kit and test any dinnerware originating in China for lead. Personally, I wouldn't eat or drink out of anything "made in China". YMMV
