I've just found out that you can obtain 3rd party insurance when you mail packages and am curious to see if anyone else has used this kind of service and if it's worth the trouble and expense. I have been and will continue to be mailing packages back to my home state and already I've encountered 2 broken/lost packages that I've sent in the 5 months I've been in my new state. Dealing with the USPS is a NIGHTMARE so I'm wondering if I should get 3rd party insurance to cover my butt when I'm sending gifts back to my friends and family. Thoughts?
