I don't know about weird, but I find them annoying.
So even though there's one right by my house, I don't go there.
The place is always a mob scene and there's little they can offer that the two other grocery stores at the same intersection cannot.

Those people in Whole Foods looking over their shoulders went on a good trip in the 1960s and just woke up in Whole Foods. They think they are in heaven and wonder how that happened.

Fast forward:

Nobody who has or ever had a regular job should ever go to a WalMart when the first day of the month falls on a Wednesday. EBT cards, Social Security payments, Va disability checks and other government retirement checks all arrive at the same time. The WalMartians come out. It is like New Year's Eve.

I"ll have to check that out. To me, Whole Foods customers look like white people with good jobs. A lot of the female ones are cute. A few look like retreads from the sixties. Entitlement, self-righteousness, paranoia, and weird facial expressions are news to me.

Yes, if you use it as your sole grocery store, you will pay out the wazoo, but if you use it for just the things that are worth paying more for such as meat and dairy, and avoid all packaged, processed stuff, then it serves it purpose. To me, anyway.
