I don't know if I can say the name of the major web retail portal that I was using... but... I was wondering if anyone else finds the listings useful. I mean the ones you get from a basic web search, using the most popular web "portals," just for shopping purposes.
I find the listings quite out of whack.... the listings are basically OK but not much selection ( few sources of retail merchandise are included, for some reason). Also, some listings have weird price issues.
A major portal (best known for selling books) seems to have a weird error pattern, with extravagantly high prices showing up for some listings. I saw a $5000 spoon rest, for example. What the what?
Does anyone use these online search listings for shopping? How do you get them to work for you? Are there search tips that narrow down searches to the most relevant items?
