Apple has released the next generation of the iPhone. That's iPhone 7.
Would you buy it?

Don't need a water resistant phone and actually liked having a wired headphone jack (carrying an adapter is just something else to lose). I'm just praying the iOS10 update to older phones doesn't screw them up. So to answer your question; No.

For those who want information on the the new phone:
iPhone 7 is here: Water-resistant body, better cameras, jet-black color option, 256GB capacity -- and no headphone jack (hands-on) - CNET

A lot of people are upset about Apple taking off the headphone jack. My sister needs to upgrade her 6 and changed her mind when they removed the jack. It just seemed like a money grab.

You know every time you want to use those Bluetooth headphones the battery will be dead. I do not need another thing to remember to charge all the time. I will not be upgrading.

Nothing wrong with my iPhone 6, other than not enough memory. I can probably pick up a new iPhone 6 with more memory for a lot less than an iPhone 7.

Yes indeed. I hate even using wireless mice and keyboards because they go dead so quickly. Plus it's a very greedy and authoritative idea. They are telling their users that they cannot keep using their Beats, Bose or other brand headphones that they probably love. And they want to damage those businesses too.

I'm hoping they correct this omission before the main release. If they do, I might buy the 7, if they don't I won't and I'll probably sell my Apple stock. Just smacks of a self-serving, not-customer-friendly move.

Your sister will need to get over it if she ever wants a new generation iPhone. The aux jack is not coming back.

Many phone options available if she wants to jump to Android.

You can still stay with Apple products, as there are options available.
Apple is bundling EarPods with the iPhone 7 that plug into the Lightning Connector -- the same connector used for charging the phone. The iPhone 7 also comes come with an adapter that allows you to use your old 3.5mm headphones.

I probably will, if I don't go android and get an lg v20 instead. Currently have an iphone 5s and ready for an upgrade. I don't see the lack of the headphone jack as THAT big of an omission.
