In my opinion, the quality of drivers working for Uber has progressively gotten worse. When the service first started, the drivers were friendly, relatively young with clean large sedans. I think my last Uber driver was drunk. He had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol in my opinion. It was a scary experience. My previous Uber driver had a beat up car and was lazy. He didn't pull into my driveway or get out of the car to help with bags.
I've heard Lyft drivers tend to better because they are more stringently screened and interviewed in person. I've never taken Lyft but after this experience with Uber, I'm willing to change. What is your experience with Lyft versus Uber?
