Or the better merchandise will be "purchased" by the liquidator at true bargain prices, let's call them "steals" and sold elsewhere.

I can imagine Barbie's heartbreak, seeing her Dream House end up in a short sale, and the repo guys making off with her Barbie Dream Car in the middle of the night. On the bright side, at least she shook off that man-child, Ken, who had sponged off her for decades. Rumor has it he had an unrequited crush on GI Joe anyway.

I just stopped in at the Toys R Us going out of business sale. Most stuff is 5-10 percent off, unless you want a Geoffrey doll, you can get that for 30 percent off. It's still expensive, but people are buying it up. The stuff people need like diapers and wipes are not on sale at all.

Yup, I went also. Lego stuff was 5% off. Went to Walmart down the road, bought the same thing for 20% less.

I'm guessing the baby supplies will not go on sale at all, because whatever doesn't get sold off can be donated to nearby charities (women's shelters, etc.) for a tax write-off.

Lol on the tax right-off

How much is a tax write-off worth in bankruptcy court? Exactly nothing.
