I guess the laundry detergent arena is getting super competitive.

I noticed that Tide started advertising that their detergents have "10x the stain removing power as the leading liquid bargain brand."
P&G getting desperate, losing market share.

You can create one unique situation where you need 10 cups and 10 washes to get a stain out.
But this is just misleading.

Anyone know what the hell is the leading liquid bargain brand?

The soap wars have always been brutal. Detergent is a super-high profit margin product and brand loyalty supported by ads and the "soap operas" sponsored to ensure viewership of commercials.

Claims can be easily made. If your brand contains .00000005% of a specific degreasing chemical and you increase that to .0000005% you can claim 10X the stain cleaning power.

No one laundry product is best. Those with bleach and whiteners kill vibrant colors and fade blacks. Stains are almost always best handled by pre-treating. Enzyme cleaners like Biz only work best in a narrow temperature range. Water quality is crucial.
