The soap wars have always been brutal. Detergent is a super-high profit margin product and brand loyalty supported by ads and the "soap operas" sponsored to ensure viewership of commercials.
Claims can be easily made. If your brand contains .00000005% of a specific degreasing chemical and you increase that to .0000005% you can claim 10X the stain cleaning power.
No one laundry product is best. Those with bleach and whiteners kill vibrant colors and fade blacks. Stains are almost always best handled by pre-treating. Enzyme cleaners like Biz only work best in a narrow temperature range. Water quality is crucial.
