Just FYI, I went to the Great Frame-Up to have a 16" x 20" picture framed. I said that I just wanted a simple wood frame, and the salesperson was very nice and gave us a few choices . . . but I was absolutely shocked that the price (before a 25% discount) was $496.00!! I thanked her, but said that I didn't really expect to pay over $400 for a fairly plain frame and would look elsewhere.
I went to Michael's and got an even nicer custom frame for $126,00, mounting included.
Framed Destination is my go to framing place. I ordered all the matt colors and do it from home. Even my artist wife is impressed. Everything is clean and ready to assemble right out of the box.

That looks like a good site. $67 for matted frame for 16x20 photo. Is it easy to do?
Eons ago, I went to Aaron Bros. to have a print framed in a teal color. I believe the frame was made of metal. I don't remember the exact price, but it was a little high at the time, but they did a great job. It was done sometime in the late 90s.
