The last time I had to buy Listerine it was under 6 dollars at Walmart. A few weeks pass and it's now $6.92. It's more at Target, Kmart and any other stores around my area.

Even though prices have risen at Walmart, it's still cheaper then anywhere else. Everyone has raised their prices on pretty much everything. It's the way of life now. It doesn't even shock me anymore.

These recent price increases were attributed to sharp increase in fuel cost. Now that fuel cost have gone down these prices continues to rise. Secondly if fuel cost stabilize we should expect prices to drop too, but it sure won't happen. This is one of the areas that I believe our government has let us down. Food is something we all must have, it is not a choice, therefore we consumers need some one to watch the fox in the hen house.

Was at Wall Mart while back and asked a man who was stocking the shelf about a item I wanted to find...he did not understand my English so I had to ask again in Spanish (my 3rd language) and even then he referred me to another Hispanic (woman) who spoke some English. After all, the US is a English speaking country the last time I looked at the Constitution. Steve

Twinkle Toes,
You really need to research maple syrup before you post. Your post looks like something Sarah Palin would write. BTW, the person I talked to at W-mart spoke very good English.
Sixty Minutes did a thing about Wal-Mart and it is fact that W-mart dictates what prices it will pay and therefore controls the final retail price. This particular item is a "natural organic" product and I assume that W-mart decided it could charge more and so they did.

Yay!!! It's bag on Twinkle day!!!

Sorry, but I am not about to start researching maple syrup just because you had to pay a higher price for it. Personally, I could give a sh**. I stand behind each and every rep point I have and I'm sure the people who repped me would too. Oh, and I'm not frumpy like Sarah Palin, so please don't even go off on a wild tangent comparing me to her. You need to lighten up just a tad. It's hard, I know, but if you pull on that stick very slowly, I'm sure you can dislodge it.

I fund that the prices at wal-mart and other chainstires are overall way cheaper than local stores. Local stores may have draw items but more than makeup for it in other rpices.Knowing what is a good buy when shoping makes a huge doffernce especailly in food cost. My mother-in-law is like a accountant in food shopping. It really has beeneducation in learnign howe to shopby knowing good prices.
