I am not sure whether Verizon should be blamed for the man's death, but I do agree they have lousy customer service. I have had a few issues with them over the years. Nothing so major or horrifying, little things like they didn't set up my internet service correctly, told me they wouldn't charge me for my mistake, and did anyway. Or customer service people who are totally unhelpful with a problem, but just keep apologizing over and over. (Please don't say sorry unless you can sound like you mean it, and especially not every five seconds if you can't.)

But being big into math, this is definitely my favorite Verizon flub:

Things are looking up. Maybe one day I'll get back the $25 overpayment that I made a few years ago and could never get back. I'm sure that my husband is looking forward to the day when he doesn't have to stand in the yard outside of our house to make a call.
