I should wait for a few members who actually live in Sioux Falls because they'll have much more info for you then I have. But my fave part of Sx. Falls is Falls Park. You can also take the "Phillips to the Falls" walk. It has art all along the way and cute little shops, etc. That would be my number one pic over there.
If you're from out east, Sioux Falls might be a little bit boring for you. You could go to the Empire Mall or walk around downtown. It's a really safe city too.
Sioux Falls isn't really known for tourist type of things, but I would check out Falls Park...Downtown is pretty cool, with a variety of shops like Jammie said.
Sculpture Walk is downtown. All kinds of different sculptures made by different artists. One of the few replica statues of David is in Fawick Park downtown.
The USS South Dakota Battleship Memorial is in SF. It was the most decorated battleship of World War 2. It is right next to the Great Plains Zoo.
The Washington Pavilion of Arts & Science is an old high school that was converted into an arts/science/technology center...I've never been there myself.
The Empire Mall has over 180 stores...Most of which you probably have back east
If you like gambling, theres a casino in Flandreau, which is between Brookings and Sioux Falls.
All the above mentioned things are wonderful things to do in Sioux Falls. Falls Park is a can't miss because the falls is what gave Sioux Falls is actual name. It's definitely nothing compared to falls like Niagara Falls, but the city has really turned it into a nice scenic park.
Depending on your interests, there are many other interesting locations in the Sioux Falls area that you can visit.
EROS Data center is located about 10 minutes north of Sioux Falls and offers guided tours Monday-Friday at 10 am and 2 pm. This would be fun to visit if you like science/geology.
The Old Courthouse Museum is located in downtown Sioux Falls and is free. If you're a person who enjoys learning a little about history while you're away from home, this would be worth the stop.
June is a beautiful time to visit Sioux Falls. I love the greenery and nature walks are always great. Besides Falls Park, if you're into nature, check out the Japanese Gardens at Terrace Park. It's just a pretty walk along Covell Lake filled with green plants, landscaping, and a small waterfall.
The Washington Pavillion is good for a rainy day, but if it's nice out, I'd stay outside as much as you can.
Yea, I forgot about the casino in Flandreau. You can check out the link above and see if they're having any good entertainment when you're here. I doubt if it's listed that far ahead, but you can check it later. They often have bands that we really like. The Guess Who is playing there tonight.

If they're in town, you might want to catch a Canaries game out at the Birdcage. They're supposed to be really good this year, and if you're lucky, Pat Mahomes will be pitching the night you see a game.
