Instead of keeping it to just English Premier league lets open this up a bit.

Rotherham are flying in league 2, although a slight stutter today. Our leading goalscorer has left and we have acquired 2 new strikers, one bagging 2 on his debut.

This thread is for ALL leagues, across the world, not just 1 solitary league.

Why? I think it is better to have threads for different leagues so you dont have a dozen different discussions going on about entirely different things at once. That's inefficient. We have our own subforum now, why not use it?

My thoughts exactly. Footballs leagues and seasons are to big and complex to be restricted to on forum.

Or maybe you could create different threads for the major leagues (La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1,...) and one thread for minor leagues? Just an idea.

The ignorance of Premier league fans using minor league for Champ and below level. FWIW, the Champ is in the top 10 leagues in the world.

The League One club Notts County tied 1-1 against Juventus Torino yesterday to inaugurate The Old Lady's new stadium.
I think this was a class act from Juventus, knowing that they could have chosen any major team.

Anyway, I hope more of Serie A teams will follow Juventus' example and build new and modern stadiums. It's the only way for Italian football to catch up again.

I think you are making something of his use of minor that he didnt intend. I dont think he meant to downplay the quality of the Championship league.

In the US, lower divisions are called minor leagues. The top leagues are the majors and the lower levels are the minors.

Maybe he did mean to take a jab but I didnt take it that way.
