Great game yesterday, what a difference with the horrendously boring Iberian derby. And Mario Balotelli: love him or hate him, but he does bring flavour to this tournament.
The Spanish press is, by the way, not too happy about the way La Roja are performing. They call this style of play tiki-takenaccio . Were Xavi, Iniesta and Villa the essential players in 2008 and 2010, now it's Casillas, Ramos and Xabi Alonso, so they say.
while I typically root for Spain, I am shifting my allegiance to Italy. I love how they have played with such heart. I do like Pirlo, and even that idiot Balotelli was likeable in the game against Germany. Cannot deny his extreme talent, and the Italians are certainly more enjoyable to watch. As much as I have admired the passing game of Spain, I have grown tired of it, and they seem to be incapable of doing anything else! Lets crown a new champion!
Go Italy!!!

Exactly my thoughts! I would have supported Germany had they been in the finals against Spain as well.

But when Spain would win, they'd pull off something truly epic, winning three major tournaments in a row. Admittedly, they're not playing the nicest football now, but just for the sheer pleasure they've given me the last four years in seeing them play, I wouldn't mind them winning this one .
Anyway, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the game .
I want Italy to win because I like Italy and will win a bit of money if they do but I agree a bit with what Avondrood is saying(well at least what I think he is saying). If Spain win this then they will be the only team to have one 3 major trophies in a row which has never been done before. I would like to say that I lived through that and seen it be done by the greatest team of all time (if they do it). Its history that will never be forgotten and I would like to see it happen. So if Italy lose it wont be to bad.

they would achieve a unique feat if they manage to win but i dont think they are the greatest team of all time , id place the dutch team of the mid seventies ( who won nothing ) ahead of them and of course , the brazilan team of 1970
I'm pulling for Italy. I counted them out after they couldn't find net against a pathetic English side and they came back to shock the Germans. Never rule out the bogey team. While watching Spain hoist a 3rd major trophy in succession would be quite the site, I get tired of seeing the same team win over and over and over (unless, of course, it's my team).
