I was pretty vocal about how he shouldnt have been appointed as manager in the first place, I dont think he is a great manager. He should have been heavily involved in the youth setup which is terrible in the US.

After that WC where the US was second best in every single game I couldnt believe he still had a job at the end of it.

Now the Gold Cup, the US where absolutely brutal, he has to go. 34th is way too high for the US at this stage.

He'll be around for a while, I think. His recent success on the friendly trip in Europe helped him. Gold Cup was a disaster. They looked good in maybe one game, but Concacaf is designed to make teams look bad (style of play outside the top 3-4 teams).

I was worried about WC qualification until the groups came out, it should be a breeze to get out oft he group.

A big deciding point may be the game against Mexico in October for the Confed Cup. If US looks bad again, that could be the end. I'm not sure where they go after Klinnsman, I doubt they have a plan at this stage.

I know hell be around, which sucks. The games in Europe where meaningless, nobody tried or cared except for USA. For European teams the only agenda is to not get injured and play some exhibition football. Nobody remembers being demolished by Ireland ?

WC qualifying should be a breeze, it always is. But after the last WC where they were second best in each game and didnt (IMHO) play to their best strengths what do you do ? There are managers with a better understanding of how to play better for the quality the US has IMHO.

Yeah, I get it. I know teams don't go overboard for friendlies, but many people in the US don't seem to understand that...or at least they are using selective memory to defend the teams progress.

Klinsmann seems to have his mind set on a style of play, but unfortunately we don't yet have the players that fit well in that style, yet. He also has a severe fascination with the potential of a few players that make horrible mistakes right now. He is really a paradox. He sticks with an aging Beckerman at holding Mid and keeps putting in Chandler at Right back. We MUST have another player in the US that is relatively fast that can playing holding mid. I feel like we have no options, when in fact we do...they just aren't chosen.

Oh no I've been gone too long! Come on. Was the Gold Cup even a tournament to worry about. As long as we minimized injuries, IMO it doesn't really matter how we did against all of those B teams. Kinkytoes needs to catch up.
