WTF, England were one of the few teams which played with any kind of decency, as did Sweden, Japan and Croatia. Do you really have any idea what you're talking about?!
Well, if that statistic can even be proven (emotive posters with blood forming the George cross are not evidence), it needs to include all the other teams involved too.
Croatia, especially Lovren, were a little heavy until the end of the first half, when their manager must have reigned them in. And they benefitted in the long run!

I do agree with you on the comment that they were one of the cleanest teams in general this tournament.
Now when it comes to fans - all bets are off - actually Russia had very low expectations this WC, so their fans are under control.
