I'm thinking of moving to the charleston area, but I have no idea where to start. I'm in the culinary field which is good for the move but it's really hard when you're trying to set up potential jobs when you're moving next year (In January hopefully). Also housing, I don't want to jump into a house so I would try renting first but what is a good neighborhood to live in? I'm a 26 yr. old female and single and I want a new positive experience, but I want this to go the right way so I don't end up back home. Also I'm from North Carolina so at least I wouldn't be that far away from home. Any advice is greatly appreciated

Well, I'm old enough to be your Mom, but here goes ...First, if you haven't done so, visit the area with some appointments with real estate agents (prefably young) who handle rentals. You can tell them, if your move proves successful, you will eventually be buying. Talk to them about living in Charleston as a young and single person. Talk to young people in stores, restaurants, etc. about the same thing to get a feel. Do a search to find Charleston real estate agents and go from there.

Hope this helps.
