It's not leadership to bow to pressure on what should've been done a long time ago. What is that saying about doing the right thing even when no one is watching?
I'm not sure why this is a "flip flop", or why that has become such a bad thing. Are people not allowed to change their position, ever? I think it is courageous to admit you were wrong in the past, and now that facts have changed you are changing your mind. People changes, attitudes change, and facts come to light on many different issues. Not changing because of fear of being labeled a flip-flopper is not only silly, it's why this country is never going to get any better.
If it takes the murder of 9 people to change your mind on an obvious symbol of a truly nasty and despicable time in American history, you're either completely ignorant of that history or you agree with what that symbol stands for. Neither is really defensible, and no amount of revisionist history changes anything. No one flies the Nazi flag as a sign of German heritage.

Get her out of office? She's in her second term. We have no recall ability here like out West. She would have to be impeached to be removed from office, and she's done nothing to warrant that.

Haley's base is primarily pro-business conservatives who don't care about the confederate flag, and will oppose the confederate flag if it gets in the way of business.

Using a weak ass political opportunity like this to call for thw removal of the flag sounds watrented to remove her to me. If she was a democrat id gve her a pass but shes not.

Im just saying with the way weve been going as a nation lately it doesnt seem that far off...rally a bunch of protestors/rioters and start attacking peoples houses with the flag...the media/public will give them a pass anyway since its "racist"
