I did a quick drive through town with Google Maps and entering town the speed limit drops from 55 to 45 to 30 on both SC 64 and 321.

Many small municipalities and communities are going to have gradually decreased speed limit signs posted.

Its the same in many small sc towns. Its how they make they money. I was going toward Charlotte and passed through a town called Mcbee. Speed limit was 60 and dropped to 30 or 25 in like a split second and had a sign with a finger pointing at you saying watch your speed
