Number of employees at MUSc has probably increased due to the large companies like Boeing moving in.

Same is true for the number of employees at the colleges.

Companies like Boeing, college students staying after graduating, a growing base of small tech companies, a growth in the health sciences field, more large and boutique hotels, more restaurants and bars, more retail, etc.

typical ‘growing city’ stuff

Not really. The largest increases have come from the footprint expansion outside Charleston.

Seems unlikely since it was a metro area number, the same count puts Boeing at its 7k~ which is accurate to just the charleston area stuff.

That's terrible. Too many northerners moving there. Too much sprawl, look at northern Charleston and Summerville area. All sprawl now.

you get sprawl, or you get density, or you get a generation that can't afford housing and an accompanying homelessness crisis.

This is true from my experience.

7:30 shift start (arrive around 7 AM) and end of shift at 3:30 PM, just enough time to squeak by the main surge of rush hour traffic. You do get stuck in some school traffic, though.
