That's also illegal.

Talking illegal is as illegal does

it's no illegal than some dumb ass riding your bumper. i say do what ever it takes. if they hit you it's automaticaly their fault anyway for following too close. so i hope they have good insurance to cover the mess their going to get them selves into.

THAT is the one the kills me everyfreakintime. really people?!? it's not going to take that much more time to use your directionals! i almost got in an accident a couple of weeks ago because some tool swerved one way and turned in the opposite direction. you got it. no directionals. what am i to do? read minds? i've driven in some of the craziest places in the world: izmir, turkey. ..brindisi, italy. ..kuwait. . .seoul, korea. . .NYC. . .boston. . . but this state takes the cake most days. when we lived in boston, my in-laws came for a visit--they drove--and they were talking about the driving up there and how "scary it was". i'll drive up there ANY day.

and what is up with people hanging out in the passing lane?

but what really gets my goat is the cars i always seem to get stuck behind who bellow out major smog. i really wish there was an inspection done here yearly. some of these vehicles need to be taken off the road--STAT!

don't get me wrong. i love living here, but the tailgating, not using the directionals, driving in the passing lane is enough to drive one bonkers most days.

My #1 SC driving pet peeve is the under appreciation for the left turn lane. It's there for you to use when making a left turn so PLEASE USE IT. Stop making left turns from the driving lane.

#2 is people that unexpectedly brake while driving in traffic to let some fool pull out of a business. I'm not talking about traffic creeping along so you let someone pull out. I'm talking about traffic rolling along at 30-40 mph and someone just stops to let someone pull out. I see this quite often on 378 in Lexington. Could by why there are also many accidents involving 1 car running into the back of another.

Drivers in this part of the country are something else. You can barely get people to actually do work in this area when they say they will do it but once they are in a car, they exhibit a drive and aggression like no other. And if you think SC is bad, drive in Georgia...

If you are on a 2 lane hwy going the limit or 5 over then tailgating is a un-necessary---just wait until you get to the passing zone and go around.

If you are on a 4-6 lane hwy and you are riding in the left two lanes at the limit or 5 over....then you deserve to be tailgated and you need to move over----you are the reason for traffic back ups...and with your little brake tap crap, causing accidents. You are no better than the person doing the tailgating--you both think that it is YOUR road and everyone else should conform to your driving style.

The facts are that more accidents and traffic are caused by people/objects that restrict the flow of traffic.

I personally don't tailgate---but I do drive more than 5 over on 4-6 lane hwys....and if i come up on someone doing the limit in the left lane...i will sit back and wait on my opportunity to pass--right or left.

MOVE OVER
