week in hilton head..what is there to do.. (Bluffton: transplants, restaurant)

my husband and i are looking to take a trip to Hilton head in the next few weeks..we were just wondering if anyone could recommend restaurant..shopping areas..or points of interest to look for while we are there..tips are most appreciated

It all depends on where you are staying.. If you like playing golf, tennis, bike riding this is the place for you.. There is plenty of shopping on the island and in Bluffton. If you want good food ask around for Hudsons on the Docks. This restauraunt has been on the island longer than any other and has excellent sea food. As a local of the area I just don't understand why anyone from up north would visit here. If you want to visit the south why Hilton Head? That is like going to visit Europe and want to go to Little America. Hilton Head is ruined by too many transplants and it is not the real south. Visit Savannah and surrounding areas as well.
