Hi guys!!
What a wonderful place South Dakota is! I am here now on holiday from Australia.

Are the burros around at this time of year?

We are going to try and see them tomorrow, but we have learned that for a few more days it is the 'off' season for most things.

Thanks

Yea, they're always in the park, usually toward the northeast part of the wildlife loop, when I was through there in January they were down by the creek that runs through there, but now I'd imagine they'd be nearer the road. Good Luck!

They also like apples! We make sure to take a bag every time we go to the park - take the time to cut them into pieces before you go, especially for the little ones. All you have to do when you go in is ask where they are - the park staff will be able to tell you roughly where they are at any given time.

Have fun!

They are around. In Custer State Park they usually hang on the wildlife loop. Careful, those jackasses are always looking for a treat.

Thanks guys! We had such a great time. We only had strawberries and bananas but the burros seemed happy.
South Dakota is amazing! We had the best holiday ever. We're in Sioux Falls tonight - going back to Australia tomorrow.
We'll be back in 10 years when the horses head is done on Crazy Horse.

Excellent! Wish the weather was a bit more becoming for this time of year, that would have made a great trip even better.
