Ardmore is about 35 miles south of Hot Springs. No one lives there anymore but they still have a volunteer fire department.

There is a whole bunch of them, they have a book dedicated to them as well, I think its called 'Ghost towns of the Black Hills'.....

Amazon.com: Black Hills Ghost Towns (9780804006385): Watson Parker, Hugh K. Lambert: Books
Half.com: Ghost Towns And Other Historical Sites of the Black Hills by Bruce A. Raisch (2006, Paperback)(9781578643516): Bruce A. Raisch: Books

Mystic is one, Rochford is kind of one I think...just Google and some sites will pop listing lots of them, If the links need to be deleted, the books are Black Hills Ghost Towns - Watson Parker and Ghost Towns and Other Historical Sites of the Black Hills by Bruce Raisch...Hope that helps

A while back we discussed ghost towns in South Dakota, of which many of them were in the Black Hills. Check out this thread. //www.city-data.com/forum/south...-towns-sd.html

Rockerville. Just south of Rapid City on Highway 16.

There is only one open business in Rockerville, and it's the Gas Light. Good food. Otherwise it's just an abandoned mining town with vacant houses and shopfronts.
