Currently looking into Legal Secretary jobs but I cant seem to find any on Craigslist or Careerbuilders. I would like to know where all the job posting are that everyone is talking about.

Is the legal field not a hot commodity in Sioux Falls???

Have you tried the Department of Labor job search? Not always stuff in your field, but there is always some jobs listed. I haven't really tried much else.

Thanks I did check the Dept. of Labor and found two positions in my field but they were too far away. Are there any other websites or newspapers that everyone looks at for employment???

I prefer the Yellow Pages - Waiting for someone to post "help wanted" usually means "help needed", and it means competing with a stack of applications. Find ALL the places that employ your service and take your resume. Limiting yourself to the posted openings limits you to working for companies that aren't reputable enough to find help thru word-of-mouth.

Thanks Eric. I plan on faxing and emailing my resume to alot of law firms in Sioux Falls. Only problem is that Im currently still living in NYC so Im hoping I will get a "bite" from a Firm that is willing to conduct an interview over the phone or Skype. Its harder to do the grunt work over the internet. Hopefully, my resume can impress.

Totally agree with you though. Most of my past employers were from word of mouth or the phrase "Its not what you know, its who you know"! Since I dont know anyone, Im on my own.
