Your're right, Fred. In that sense Sioux Empire is regional too but it is located in our state.

I don't get up to the northeastern part of our state much, are there any good fairs in the Watertown to Sisseton area?

I vote for Brown County Fair in Aberdeen. It is still the largest free-entry fair in the state and it is awesome. I have many memories of spending "fair week" doing various 4-H activities, going to the concerts (anyone remember the "early shows" and the "late shows" at the BCF?), the demolition derby, the horse shows, the baking exhibitions, the free entertainment at the Kessler's Tent.
