Our family is considering moving to South Dakota. We are very interested in the Dead Wood area. Its seems to be a very charming town. We are very simple country folks and dont really care for suburbs or big cities much other than going into town to get supplies. We will be bringing 3 maybe 4 of our children with us (if the oldest decides to go with us). We would really like to live in a more rural area or atleast a rural area on the outskirts of a larger town/city. Where we are now we have goats and chickens and so on and would try to keep that lifestyle and loving in the suburbs (atleast here anyways) that could be difficult if not impossible. Also employment, shows the employment in Dead Wood? If we were to have to drive to a larger place for employment, is the drive terrible in the winter? Just trying to cover our bases. We will be coming up for a visit it soon, but would like to get a "recent" opinion on the area. I've seen several older post, but nothing more recent
