Astounding what the Russians come up with...

An article published in the Solar System Research magazine reported Several objects resembling living beings were detected on photos made by a Russian landing probe in 1982 during a Venus mission.

Leonid Ksanfomaliti thought there were at least couple of different life forms. One was a crab-like object. The other was what was described as a scorpion-like creature. His opinion was based on the position of at least the crab-like object in that in comparing a couple of different photos, it seemed as if the object must have moved. However, it's now considered that the "crab" is a mechanical component of the Venera-13 lander (part of a lens cap), and the "scorpion" is just "processed noise", as the scorpion does not show up in the original data.
