This thread, started by ocpaul20, has been dragging on since the end of November last year. The only way to end the discussion is to stop replying to the OP posts. You cannot answer enough questions in enough detail to thwart the incessant need he has. If you (ever) make him understand the digitizing process he will simply find another subject to argue about.

Thank you for the correction. I knew that, but ocpaul20 was on my mind when I wrote it.
Just want to mention two more things which no-one seems to have talked about.
Both concern the radiation from the Sun and man-made.
Radiation causes fogging of film, we see no fogging of film or particle streaks on the Apollo photographs or film strips.
In 1962 the US military exploded a nuclear bomb 248 miles high Starfish prime which was designed to blast a 'passage' through the Van Allen belt, but it backfired and made matters worse. Since that time there is a 3rd radiation belt which is much, much stronger than the original 2 Van Allen radiation areas.
Why is this thread attracting so much attention? Is it perhaps important to make sure everyone thinks the Apollo missions were genuine? If it is really a non-event and not a big deal, then stop posting and the thread will die.
However, before you do, make sure you answer the points about the photographs not been fogged or streaked by the high radiation because I would like to now how NASA managed to overcome that.
Please dont say 'shielding' because the astronauts did not have radiation shielding on those cameras on their chests.
While you are at it, you can also tell us how they managed to change the film canisters and lenses while wearing the thick space suit gloves.
No need to start criticizing people, just answer the points raised.
