Pittston2Sarasota: Those are fantastic videos of the moons. I wonder what kind of geologic process caused the striations on the moon Phobos. The crators came first and something happened to the moon to create the straight lines that overlap the crators. Any thought people?

Thanx...GY...haven't seen you as much lately in the Science Forum; glad you are starting threads again. IMHO.....the striations are caused by the gravitional interactions of the 2 Moons and Mars; the resulting crustal tidal forces are propagating as waves that we see/interpret as striations.

Thanx Pittston2sarasota: I've been busy with my websites. I have 15 of them. They keep me busy, that and my forums. Hey you never did that front page for me. Are you game?

I reckon the aliens get everywhere, like we visit islands to get away from the crowds, they probably visit moons. You will probably find that these smaller moons are already owned by some intergalactic shipping magnate. We will be in trouble if he has security guards and energy fences.
