Today, me, my daughter, my husband, and my special-needs nephew returned from a 5-day trip to Disney World. We took a plane from Orlando to Atlanta (both kiddos slept almost the whole ride, they fell asleep before the plane evnen took off!!!) But we've experienced 11 (yes, 11!!!) Delays in Atlanta before returning to our home city. At first, it was because of inclement weather, then, the windshield wiper broke, then, I'm the other oje, but we've stayed at in the airport for 12 hours!!!! My nephew really wants to go home and is freaking out over the delays!!!! (he's 10). I've explained to him that some things you can't control, but this is OTT ridicoulous!!!! (We're flying on delta BTW)

As fellow passenger I feel your pain and mine.

Delta has no influence on weather conditions. If the windshield wiper is required on the MEL and not working the plane will be grounded. We have booked on other airlines or taken rental cars in similar situations during continental flights.
