I definitely preferred Tacos Tumbras to Taqueria Guerrero, but if you were THAT disappointed with Taqueria Guerrero I'm thinking there's a decent chance you'd be disappointed with Tacos Tumbras as well. I also mainly always get the same thing, so I can't vouch for most of their menu.
I think one of the reasons why I was disappointed in Taqueria Guerrero is because they didn't have fountain drinks or guacamole for their burritos, the burrito I've had at Taqueria Guerrero was pretty good but unexceptional.

I also thought it was kind of weird that they didn't have nachos. I think it might be the only Mexican restaurant I've ever been to that didn't serve nachos.

IMHO, the best places in town in order:

1) Pho Van (note Hamilton location recent fire and remodeling, Division open)
- Notable: pho dac biet; com thit neo neung, thit bo, trung ga, tom (that's all one plate); bun thit nuong cha gio

2) Vina
- Notable: roast duck; pho dac biet;combination noodle with bbq pork, wonton, fish ball, shrimp, squid with EGG noodle

3) Vien Dong
- Notable: chicken or pork bahn mi

Stick with the clearly Vietnamese offerings and avoid the stir-fried/fried Ameri-Chinese food.

The best authentic Mexican food in town belongs to Fiesta Brava, the dark red taco truck that sits in the gas station lot on the corner of Francis and Nevada. I recently took my co-worker (born and raised in Mexico City) there and he said the Burrito Supremo was the best he's had in Spokane.

The owner is very friendly, very clean, and makes very good food.

Wow, thanks a lot. I had nothing to go by so this helps a lot.

I am getting very cynical about YELP, and UrbanSpoon, for dependable reviews about restaurants.

I went to a place in Spokane last night, that had five stars... It was mediocre food, miserable ambiance, and no wine.

Anyone know of a decent Mexican restaurant, where we can have margaritas, good salsa, and good food?

I have had decent luck at Rancho Chico (a couple of spots in town I believe, I always go to the one at the Y. La Presa in Airway Heights is good as well, but IMO, Baja in Medical Lake is the best. It looks like a hole in the wall type of joint, but is very good.

I can vouch for this one too.

The staff was so comfortable with me that we conversed only in Spanish.

Another locally owned joint I really liked is Mike's Burger Royal off of Trent just east of Fancher, they have everything from great food, very good prices and a friendly staff, I was surprised they didn't offer indoor seating at the restaurant, I'd totally recommend it for someone who likes a good burger.
