He has been the a top 6 player for a long time and now he is in the top 4, but he almost always loses to the original top 4. All the other top 8 players, especially Del Potro, Thomas Berdych, and Tsonga always pose threat to the top 4, but not Ferrer. What's up with that?
Ferrer has no real weapon other than his return of serve, if you want to call that a "weapon." He's a consistent player with good mobility, but that's about it. Del Potro, Tsonga, and Berdych all have monster weapons (serves and groundies) that can give the top players problems.
Ferrer is very consistant and solid but like BajanYankee says he lacks a major weapon
