I was happy with his performance actually. Should have won the 1st set. Stood toe to toe with him and looked great, specially 1st set. Things are looking up. Getting beat by Novak is hardly unheard of! Andy is one of only 3 players who beat him regularly. Their matches are always close.
But cheers for your insightful and knowledgeable post.
One would think though that either Nadal or Djoker are going to take this out, even if there is 1 upset, ensuring that the Big 4's dominance of Masters and Majors lasts just that wee bit longer.
And now Nadal is into the final with a walkover as well!
At least both should be that extra bit fresh for the final, the 40th meeting between Rafa and Djoker.
Who has the slightest advantage, Nadal or Djokovic?
Probably slightly Djokovic, it is still a hard court, albeit a slow one - which favours Nadal - but low bounce which favours Djoker.
Conditions are warm and humid, balls are heavier, so probably also slightly in the Jokers favour.
Both are in good form, but you can see the real focus is for the clay season ahead, and lead up to RG.
Good solid victory by Novak Djokovic, both March Masters now in the bag.
It's time to savour the moment, then aburptly change and prepare for the clay court season:
