CBS likes to offer legal streams via cbssports.com. NBC is, I believe, offering the 2016 Olympics.

FWIW....offering legal streams means more viewers and more ad revenue. It is possible that NBC, ABC, and FOX will join CBS in offering easy streaming services.

With this remote location, the DirectTV contractor refused to set up their service here.

CBS bought the rights to show the olympics. you can watch most of the Olympics on its website, but the CBS app especially for the olympics is what we used for things not on CBS affiliates.

If you give a good search, i bet you may be able to find other countries that may have streams going furing that time but i havent tried that.

Thanks! Thought "most of the Olympics" is a little concerning. I must watch Phelps, Bolt/track and field and gymnastics.

It'll be interesting to see what NBC & company does with the Olympics this year. Most of the time because of the time zone differences in "prime time" they showed reruns of events during the day that they could have shown live....and sometimes did show live anyways, that they were running the morning events when the news was on, but for people like me that just watched the Olympics tracker on-line anyways, it was dumb. Brazil in the summer is only a 1 hour difference from the East Coast (4 hour difference from Pacific time zone) so if they STILL show reruns in prime time I will never watch another Olympic event on TV.....ever.
