Had a chance to binge on Dimitrov and ... eh. While he does have some moments of brilliance, there are more times where you wonder what exactly is bringing him down. If we are to go by "prime" age, he should be hitting his stride already - maybe he's a late bloomer buuut "baby-Fed" he is not. A shame, I would like to see more top tier players.

Another player I came across as I was watching Dimitrov was Janowicz. Wow, he had amazing play! His drop shots were killer but then he disappeared, lost his game, his fire. Damn, A SHAME!

Let's see what happens with the French Open!

Baby Fed was always a very hard nickname to live up to.
Of course, Grigor was never going to do it.
He still has time, and as we have seen with other late bloomers like Stan Wawrinka, he may take a while to mature.
Will see how he goes in IW-Miami, and then Wimbledon, where he has been a semifinalist.
I don not think he has played in the current 500's in Dubai or Acapulco? (need to check this)
Murray won Dubai, and Acapulco has Nadal vs Sam Querrey later today in the final. (Djoker was knocked out there by Nick Kyrgios in QFs)
I doubt the French or clay court masters series are going to be his strong points though.

Dimitrov did play against Djokovic in Madrid on clay in the finals, forgot how long ago it was (2013-12?) but he won it, a stroke of luck I suppose - great match to watch, you can catch it on youtube.

Yeah I checked, he didn't play in Dubai, Acapulco, or Rio - however he did play in Rotterdam. I believe they are only required to play 4 or 5/year for the silver/500 series? I forget.
