This weekend, I was thinking of getting tickets to the US Open to attend one of the final matches. It just seems like a good opportunity since I just got my bonus (so I can afford the tickets ) and I'll be on vacation starting this weekend. But I'm a little scared attending a crowded event during a pandemic. I know they require vaccination, but there are many breakthrough infections occurring out there, so vaccine mandate does not guarantee 100% safety.
Am I just being overly paranoid or is it safe enough to attend the US Open during this pandemic?
If you are vaccinated and have the $$$$ to get in there...Go for It, You can't go wrong, If I was there and had the opportunity....I'm inside in a heartbeat.

But how safe do you think it is? I'm hearing too many breaththrough infections, so I'm a little worried I might catch Covid, especially if I happen to pick an area where there's a bunch of strangers around me.
I wear a mask and stay away from weirdos !!!! Not a thing else you or I can do really..We are not in Chile, we are in the USA where M O S T people do what they like.
In countries like the one I mentioned, ALL go at the same tune, and in the America's they're now Wide Open with over 78% Vaccination Tables ...
If we only copied the RIGHT ways to go abouth this mess, we would be out of this cesspool, BUT we ARE the USA and no one tells us what to do.
Sorry, then stay home and STOP bothering me . and the REST of the Nation that follow PROTOCOLS.
Knuckle Yead New Yorker . . . . .
I'm just joking, man. I'm not one of those people that refuse to wear it. I don't like it, but I lump it.
Seriously tho, isn't it hard to "stay away from weirdos"? These tickets are assigned seat, so what if you are seated next to a weirdo? That's the part that concerns me.

You're using vacation time...do you have sick leave available, just in case?
I assume you’re saying it’s too risky?
