Why is there an "auto racing" subforum when there are many more deserving sports? The Auto Racing subforum has less than half the posts of any of the other subforums (which are logically the 4 major US sports). Soccer- the most popular sport in the world- deserves a subforum much more than NASCAR. I think this is shown by the lively euros thread. I don't even really watch much soccer but ... well... a ****load of people do. What other sports might deserve a subforum? I know I would definitely regularly check out a skiing forum but I don't know if enough people would.
I think they should set up a Boxing/UFC forum (maybe called Pro Fighting) and a World Sports which could include Soccer, Cycling, Rugby and of course the ever so popular Curling and Cross Country Skiing.
Soccer may be the most popular game in the world, but since April 25 there have been a total of 4 active threads relating to it. Two of those threads refer to the currently hot, but soon to be over, Euro2008. To the best of my recollection, the UEFA Cup Series generated zilch in the way of interest.
In comparison, there have been 7 boxing-related threads and to MMA-related threads over the same period of time.
It's hard to see where any of those traffic numbers would justify a sub-forum.
Rest assured, though, that the City Data Administrator keeps a very close eye on all forum traffic, and is never shy about adding sub-forums once he/she feels the traffic numbers justify it.
