micheal phelps is setting historical records and the GREEDY HACKS AT NBC SPORTS are airing it on a three hour delay. then they drag it out until 11:30 at night to boot.
THANK GOD FOR CBUT [canadian network]. the only place to watch the olympics LIVE in these parts. it's just sad that we have to watch a canadian channel to see it live. EAT **** NBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh man, Im so with you!!! My life is gymnastics, so of course, theres no way Im going to be missing the Olympics, but to stay up til its over anywhere from 1130pm to 130AM!!! has been brutal when I have to be up at 630am to go coach....and then theres all the little gymnasts, draggin in in the morning, bleary eyed and crabby cuz they too were up watching our sport.
why the heck they cant do replays or something during an earlier part of the day is beyond me!
Im so anti NBC right now.....
its also annoying how they jump from one thing to another, then dont even show some sports. arraauugghhhhhhhhhh
I don't know why anyone would be surprised about this. Television networks don't care about viewership...they care about sponsorship. If sponsors told NBC that they weren't coming across with money unless the Olympics were aired at, let's say, 8:30PM, then you could bet your last dime that they'd be on TV at 8:30PM.

So true! I remember being part of trying to sell equestrian sports to NBC for the Seoul Olympics. The sponsors pay for the sports to be aired.
