I tried to get my son in at Jordan Valley and they aren't taking any new patients until March! Does anyone know of any other dentists in Springfield or surrounding areas who accept Medicaid?

Our dentist is Wade Mitchell in Springfield, on Delaware St. off Battlefield just west of Glenstone. Not sure with the Medicad, but great dentist. We have been here 2 years.

I would NOT recommend Jordan Valley! I had been taking my children there, and everytime they needed work done it would take at least 4 months to get back in. And everytime I would take my children back 4 months later it only resulted in the conditions to be worse! I am now taking my children to Dr. Buzbee at Buzbee Dental! Best of luck!

I use to take my kids to Jordan Valley but to get in within 4 months was out of the question. Even for emergency's. Every time I would go they always try and make you stay in the lobby while the child goes in. They even wrote on my sons info that they should try and not let me in because of something they did with my daughter. She was 4 and having a regular checkup, She was scared of the chair so they had 3 dentist assistants come in and try and then one came from another room and picked her up and sat in the chair and wrap her legs in my daughters legs to hold her down. while all the others are standing around my daughter, she was screaming off the top of her lungs saying, 'Shes hurting me, You're hurting me!", I couldn't even deal with the whole thing i told her to get off my daughter and let go of her. I almost hit the lady. And that right there is why i don't recommend going there. At least if you do, Stay in the room. And don't let them hurt your child's dentist experience. Today I made an appointment with BuzBee. Hopefully It will go much better.

Good luck to you all!!

Medicaid pays for dental? Who knew? I'm surprised because health insurance usually doesn't cover dental; dental is always separate and an additional provider/additional policy/additional premium.
