A Native Mansfielder Here (Lions!)
I'm curious about this Mansfield accent.
I graduated from high school in Mansfield and went off to school in Boston where my New York roommates and others rid me of it. They called it a hick accent. I think it's just a drawl personally.
I lost the accent years ago, and it is distinct but I'm really not sure what you would call it.
I'm super impressed that anyone even knows of the town except for Laura Ingalls Wilder fans who often visit town from far off places like Sweden.
