I haven't heard anything about Daylight Saving Time being on the ballot this year, so I guess it still isn't--yet again.

That's infuriating (to me). Good reason, imo, to not move here. Move across the border (AZ, NV) instead.

One thing I always loved about living in ST. George is that in the summertime it stays light until around 9 pm, due to being so close to the Pacific time zone. It made staying out on summer evenings enjoyable.

I hate Daylight Saving time. I like my light in the morning, plus here it stays hot until late (after dark) in the evening, so that it is impossible to get anything done in the yard. With it being light earlier in the morning, there would be a chance to get something done before it gets too hot. Now if we could only talk businesses into opening earlier so that shopping could be done and we could get home before the heat.

I agree exactly with everything you said. Businesses included. My yard work is light, fortunately, but I still time picking up debris, moving rocks back, and sweeping concrete according to the heat/cold/ice, depending on the season. When the weather is cold, at least by the time it warms up it's daylight. I feel for the children, whose busses come when it's still dark.
